Flare up

So I feel my back today. I should have known I would. I was exhausted last night...we went to bed...TO SLEEP...at 9:30! 9:30!!! It's not the normal 'been worked out sore' feeling. It's inflamed. I've had 13 + years to understand my back. I knew there would be a possiblility of a flareup given the working out I'm doing, at the intensity I'm doing it. It COULD be worse, if I were still eating refined sugar. But happily, it's not as bad as it could be. However, I will need to Tylenol up before I attempt Legs & Back today. When my back gets like this, it feels feverish, and I'm wiped out. It's similar to how you feel when you get the flu, except it's in my back. What I would do BEFORE I became this strongly dedicated to fitness girl, would have been to stop the workout, and chill. But I'm not going to do that. I'm on a program, and that program shall go on. I will monitor what I do today...if it's something that will aggravate my back, I'll omit it....and that's all I can do. I'm going to 'do my best, and forget the rest'.

Ugh! Back pain is the worst. Def. be kind to your back, it's the only one you've got and any major injury generally equals a lifetime of chronic pain. BLAH!! I love reading about your P90x adventures. I'm still waiting for the copies I was promised from a friend.. hmm... maybe I will remind her today. ;o) Hope you are feeling better soon!!
